For this reason, the <strong>compassionate and free support offered by volunteers is <\/strong>a valuable resource for our patients: someone to talk to, who knows how to listen, provide guidance, and offer support during the most difficult times. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span  id=\"associations-active-at-inoc\" class=\"h2_anchor\"><\/span>Associations Active at INOC<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Volunteers from the following organizations work at our school every day <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.anapaca.it\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.anapaca.it\/\">Anapaca<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.barcollomanonmollo.org\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.barcollomanonmollo.org\/\">Barcollo ma non mollo<\/a><\/strong>, working in the outpatient clinics, treatment wards, and<a href=\"https:\/\/inoc.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Hospice-Monviso-scaled.jpg\" type=\"attachment\" id=\"2675\"> the hospice<\/a>. The volunteers are available to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>listening and support<\/strong> during times of emotional distress;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>orientation<\/strong> within the facility and on the available services;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Practical assistance<\/strong> in understanding and completing forms and documentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recruitment and Training  <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All volunteers working at INOC undergo a selection process\u2014based on <strong>an assessment of personal aptitudes and physical and mental fitness\u2014 <\/strong>and receive <strong>specific training on the characteristics of cancer patients<\/strong>, the risks associated with the hospital environment, and preventive measures. This ensures a qualified and safe presence, protecting both patients and the volunteers themselves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Volunteers <strong>also participate in operational and strategic meetings<\/strong> with healthcare staff and management, reflecting their close collaboration with INOC.
