Dr. Maristella Bungaro is a member of the Medical Association of Turin. She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bari “Aldo Moro” and subsequently completed her residency in Medical Oncology at the University of Turin.
Throughout her career, she has worked as a Medical Director at San Luigi Gonzaga Hospital in Orbassano (Turin) and at the Michele and Pietro Ferrero Hospital in Verduno (Cuneo).
Since 2025, Dr. Bungaro has been working at INOC as a Medical Director in Medical Oncology. She is the clinical lead for the management of gynaecological and head and neck cancers and serves as the reference oncologist for the Ovarian Cancer Centre and for the ENT and Gynaecological Interdisciplinary Care Groups (GICs).
Committed to clinical research, Dr. Bungaro is the author and co-author of several scientific publications and regularly participates in national and international conferences and continuing professional development activities. She is a member of scientific societies including the Italian Association of Medical Oncology (AIOM) and the Multicenter Italian Trials in Ovarian Cancer and Gynecologic Malignancies (MITO) group.
She also contributes to the working groups of the Piedmont and Aosta Valley Oncology Network, supporting the development and review of care pathways for patients with ovarian, endometrial, cervical and vulvar cancers.
