Dr. Lucia Garetto graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Turin, where she subsequently specialised in Internal Medicine, with a focus on Emergency Medicine, and in Oncology. She also obtained a Level I Master’s Degree in Management of Health and Local Health Authorities and a Level II Master’s Degree in Strategic Management of Healthcare Organisations.
Throughout her career, she has worked in various Emergency Medicine and Emergency Department settings. Since 1996, she has been working at INOC as a Medical Director in the Multidisciplinary Oncology Day Hospital, where she performs more than 1,000 oncology consultations each year. She also serves as the medical liaison for the Interdisciplinary Care Group (GIC) for thoracic and pulmonary malignancies.
She collaborates with the Piedmont and Aosta Valley Oncology Network on inter institutional GICs for lung and head and neck cancers and, since 2022, has served as Coordinator of the Institute’s Oncogeriatrics GIC.
She is the author and co author of numerous international scientific publications and regularly contributes as a speaker at scientific conferences.
