Dr. Sara Bresciani graduated in Physics from the University of Turin, where she subsequently specialised in Medical Physics.
After gaining professional experience at Umberto I Hospital in Turin, she joined INOC in 2007, becoming a member of the Medical Physics team, where she currently serves as a technical lead. She has contributed to the implementation and optimisation of advanced, high-complexity radiotherapy techniques, including total lymphoid irradiation (TLI), intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), partial breast irradiation (PBI), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), helical tomotherapy, and high-dose-rate (HDR) brachytherapy.
Dr. Bresciani is a contact person for the national In Vivo Dosimetry Group and has collaborated with the Italian National Institute of Health (ISS) on the development of dosimetry audit programmes.
She is qualified as a Grade III Radiation Protection Expert and lectures at the Postgraduate School of Medical Physics at the University of Turin, where she teaches computational algorithms for external beam radiotherapy treatment planning.
Dr. Bresciani is the author and co-author of approximately 100 scientific publications, conference reports and abstracts presented at national and international congresses.
