The Institute’s Technology Transfer Office (TTO) facilitates the transformation of scientific discoveries into innovative healthcare solutions. Operating at the intersection of research, clinical innovation, and industry, the TTO supports the protection, development, and commercialization of intellectual property generated within the Institute. By combining scientific expertise with strategic intellectual property management and business development skills, the TTO transforms the most promising discoveries into technologies, partnerships, and new companies. Through these activities, the Office helps accelerate the path from laboratory research to clinical and industrial impact, ensuring that the resulting innovation ultimately benefits patients and society.
Mission
The mission of the Technology Transfer Office is to support researchers and clinicians in transforming innovative ideas and discoveries into practical applications that generate clinical, social, and economic impact. This includes:
- protect intellectual property generated through research activities
- support the development and maturation of innovative technologies
- promote partnerships with industry and investors
- facilitate technology transfer through licensing or the creation of new companies.
By linking scientific discovery with industrial development, technology transfer enables research institutions to contribute to innovation ecosystems and accelerate the development of new healthcare solutions.

Partnership and Licensing Opportunities
INOC offers potential academic and industrial partners a portfolio of opportunities for collaboration, partnerships, and licensing stemming from its translational research .
The “Industry Partnerships & Licensing Opportunities” catalog brings together the main resources available for development, divided into three areas:
- preclinical platforms and biobanks for translational models;
- licensable technologies, a portfolio of patented or patent-pending assets in fields such as molecular oncology, precision diagnostics, and immunomonitoring;
- the BioLife translational infrastructure, which integrates the Biobank, Organoid Center, Animal Facility, and Genomics Center into an end-to-end ecosystem spanning from patient samples to functional validation.
