Dr. Edoardo Cisero is a physician specializing in urology. He received his medical degree from the University of Turin with honDr. Edoardo Cisero is a Urologist who graduated with honours in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Turin, receiving dignity of the press and an honourable mention for his academic career. His medical degree thesis focused on the use of PET PSMA for the restaging of prostate cancer. He subsequently completed his residency in Urology at the same university, with a thesis on the use of PET PSMA for the preoperative staging of prostate cancer.
He currently works as a Consultant Urologist at INOC, collaborating with the Urology Department led by Prof. Francesco Porpiglia.
His clinical practice covers urological and andrological conditions, both oncological and benign, with a particular focus on innovative diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, including minimally invasive and robotic surgery.
His main areas of clinical interest include:
- Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia using next generation endoscopic techniques, including Aquablation, Rezūm and TPLA;
- Early diagnosis of prostate cancer through advanced imaging, including 3D MRI with artificial intelligence support, PET using next generation radiotracers, and robotic MRI ultrasound fusion biopsy systems;
- Minimally invasive focal treatment of prostate cancer using diode laser (TFLA);
- Application of 3D image fusion, augmented reality and artificial intelligence in robotic renal and prostate surgery.
Since 2018, he has also been actively involved in urological research, contributing to scientific publications and presenting his work at national and international conferences.
