Notice on the Use of the Wi-Fi Network Pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation 679/2016 on the Protection of Personal Data:
- The user’s personal data is collected in full compliance with applicable laws and the principles of EU Regulation 679/2016 and Legislative Decree 196/2003, as amended, regarding the protection of personal data, and is processed for purposes related to the provision of Wi-Fi internet access services
- The provision of personal data for the purpose referred to in point 1 is optional; failure to provide such data, or the provision of incomplete data, prevents the user from formalizing the aforementioned contract, resulting in the inability to use the related Wi-Fi internet access service.
- Data processing is carried out using IT and telecommunications procedures and/or paper-based methods, and in all cases is designed to protect and guarantee the confidentiality of the data provided and minimize the risk of unauthorized access, theft, or tampering with the data (data breach). In order to ensure the traceability of the user’s connection sessions, the MAC address—a unique code associated with the device used by the user to browse the site.
- The data controller and INOC: For any communication regarding the processing of your data—including the exercise of the rights provided for in Article 15 and following—you may contact INOC at the email address privacy@inoc.it or dpo@inoc.it.
- The processing is carried out by the data controller’s authorized personnel within the limits of their respective responsibilities, as well as by natural and/or legal persons designated by the data controller through a collaborative relationship, for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purpose referred to in point 1.
- The data collected will be stored in accordance with the provisions of EU Regulation 679/2016 for a period of 5 years from the date consent is obtained.
- The data may be processed by the Institute and/or by third parties authorized by the Institute for institutional purposes related to the activities of the authorized third party, including fundraising initiatives in support of research conducted by the Institute, scientific information, clinical trials, etc., in compliance with applicable Italian and EU legislation.
- The user may exercise the specific rights set forth in Article 15 et seq. of EU Regulation 679/2016, including the right to obtain from the data controller confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning the user exist and to have such data made available in an intelligible form; the right to be informed of the logic and purposes on which the processing is based; the right to obtain the erasure, anonymization, or blocking of data processed in violation of the law; as well as the update, rectification, or, if applicable, supplementation of the data; to object, on legitimate grounds, to such processing; and to withdraw the consent previously provided. Consent: The undersigned, having taken note of the information provided pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation 679/2016 regarding the processing of their personal data, hereby gives consent for their personal data to be processed for the performance of the contract for the via Wi-Fi, in compliance with the fundamental rights and freedoms provided for by applicable law.
