Dr. Elena Francesca Giacone graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Turin and subsequently completed her residency in Dermatology and Venereology with highest honours.
She later obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Oncological Skin Surgery from the University René Descartes in Paris.
Following her specialisation, she worked until 2010 in the Surgical Dermatology Division at San Lazzaro Hospital in Turin, where she developed extensive experience in dermato oncological surgery. During this period, she also collaborated with the Italian League for the Fight against Cancer and the Piedmont Association for Cancer Prevention and Treatment, conducting dermatological screening and prevention consultations.
From 2010 to 2020, she worked as a Medical Director in the Skin Tumour Surgery Unit at INOC, where she continues to practise as a Consultant Physician.
Over the course of her career, she has performed more than 4,000 dermato oncological and reconstructive plastic surgery procedures.
She has also participated in the Cutaneous Tumours Working Group of the Piedmont and Aosta Valley Oncology Network and is the author and co author of scientific publications and contributions presented at national and international conferences.
