Dr. Matteo Gagliasso graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Turin and subsequently specialised in Thoracic Surgery at San Luigi Gonzaga Hospital in Orbassano. He further developed his expertise through training at several European centres and in Shanghai.
He gained professional experience in the Thoracic Surgery Department at Giovanni Bosco Hospital in Turin.
Since 2026, he has been working at INOC – Istituto Nazionale Oncologico Candiolo IRCCS as a member of the Thoracic Oncology Surgery Team.
He has performed more than 450 thoracic surgical procedures using both minimally invasive and conventional techniques.
His clinical and scientific interests include thoracic oncology, minimally invasive thoracic surgery, Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) pathways and integrated oncology.
He is an active member of the ESTS (European Society of Thoracic Surgeons), the Italian societies SIET (Italian Society of Thoracic Endoscopy) and SICT (Italian Society of Thoracic Surgery), and AMIAR (Medical Association for the Teaching of Acupuncture and Reflex Therapies).
He is the author and co author of approximately 40 scientific publications and conference presentations.
