Professor Pier Franco Conte is Full Professor of Medical Oncology at the University of Padua and has served as Scientific Director of IRCCS San Camillo in Venice since March 2022.
After graduating in Medicine and Surgery, he specialised in Oncology at the University of Turin. He subsequently held professorships in Medical Oncology at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and at the University of Padua.
Since 2024, he has been working at INOC as a Consultant Medical Oncologist.
He is the author of more than 500 publications in leading international peer reviewed journals and has received numerous scientific awards, including the Claude Jacquillat Award for Achievement in Clinical Oncology (2007), the Stars of the Phoenix in the World award for scientific excellence (2014), and the Italian Association of Medical Oncology (AIOM) Award for the Promotion of Clinical Research in Italy (2018).
He is a member of several leading scientific societies, including AIOM, ESMO and ASCO, and serves as President of the Periplo Foundation.
