Dr. Sara Casella graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Rome Tor Vergata and subsequently completed her residency in Pathology at the same university. She also obtained a Master’s Degree in Paediatric Pathology from Sapienza University of Rome.
Throughout her career, she has gained professional experience in Carrara at USL Toscana Nord Ovest and in Alessandria at the Civil Hospital, as well as in the United States at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where she worked as a J1 Research Scholar on the project Performance of New (CRBP 1) and Established (Oncotype DX DCIS) Biomarkers in Ductal Carcinoma In Situ of the Breast.
Since 2025, she has been working at INOC, where she is a member of the Pathology Service. Her clinical activity focuses primarily on breast pathology, alongside skin and genitourinary pathology.
She is a member of the Italian Melanoma Intergroup and the Italian Society of Anatomic Pathology and Cytology (SIAPEC). She also actively participates in the Study Groups of the Piedmont and Aosta Valley Oncology Network.
She is the author and co author of scientific publications in international peer reviewed journals.
