Dr. Alessandro Fornari
Physician
Dr. Alessandro Fornari graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Turin in 2003 and subsequently specialised in Pathology at the same university.
From September 2007 to October 2008, he worked as an Attending Physician in Professor Massimo Loda’s laboratory at Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
From 2009 to 2025, he served as a Medical Director and Pathologist at AOU San Luigi Gonzaga in Orbassano, with a particular focus on histopathological diagnostics in haematology, urology and ENT.
Since November 2025, he has been working at INOC as a member of the Pathology Service. He is the reference specialist for haematolymphoid pathology and is involved in advanced diagnostic services across several areas, including male genitourinary pathology, sarcomas and skin pathology.
He also provides mentorship to physicians undertaking specialist training in Pathology at the University of Turin.
He actively participates in the Study Groups of the Piedmont and Aosta Valley Oncology Network and is a member of the Italian Society of Anatomic Pathology and Cytology (SIAPEC).
He is the author and co author of scientific publications in national and international journals.
