Dr. Carla Gilardi graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Turin and subsequently completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the same university.

She has dedicated her professional career to breast imaging, initially training at the Radiology Postgraduate School at San Giovanni Battista Hospital in Turin. From 1998 to 2014, she worked as a hospital physician and subsequently gained experience at Sant’Anna Hospital, Valdese Hospital and Cottolengo Hospital.

She also gained approximately two years of international experience as a Radiologist in Breast Units in the United Kingdom, including Oxford University Hospitals and St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London.

For approximately 20 years, she has worked as a radiologist for the Prevenzione Serena mammography screening programme across several locations, including Turin, Collegno, Mondovì, Cuneo and Savigliano. She has also provided outpatient breast imaging services in several specialist practices.

Since 2020, she has been working at INOC as a Consultant Radiologist within the Breast Unit and Diagnostic Radiology Service.

Her clinical activity focuses on integrated breast diagnostics, including clinical examination, mammography, ultrasonography and second level imaging, as well as interventional procedures such as image guided needle biopsies and preoperative localisation.
