July at INOC: Outreach Initiatives

In July, INOC—the Candiolo National Cancer Institute —will provide information and in-depth analysis on soft tissue and bone sarcomas.

The sarcomas are rare tumors that can originate in soft tissues and bones and require specialized expertise for diagnosis and treatment. At INOC, they are treated by a multidisciplinary team led by Dr. Giovanni Grignani, Director of Medical Oncology and the Oncology Day Hospital. The team works closely with various specialists to provide personalized, multidisciplinary treatment plans.

In-Person Meeting: The Rights of Cancer Patients

As part of the “Conversazioni Aperte” series, the association Barcollo ma non Mollo is organizing an event open to all citizens and dedicated to the rights of cancer patients. This is the perfect opportunity to learn about the main healthcare, social, and administrative protections available to patients, in an atmosphere of open dialogue and direct discussion with specialists, who will also answer participants’ questions.

  • Speakers: Dr. Anna Santagata, Head of Social Services, and Dr. Piero Fenu, Medical Director.
  • Where and when: Cappa Lecture Hall (First Floor, INOC – Candiolo National Cancer Institute), starting at 5:00 p.m.

Facebook Live: Soft Tissue and Bone Sarcomas: Diagnosis and Multidisciplinary Treatment

As they do every month, INOC’s healthcare professionals address a topic related to health and prevention in an open forum designed to encourage dialogue and provide answers to questions and concerns. The topic of sarcomas will be explored in depth during a live social media broadcast dedicated to the treatment and diagnosis of these diseases.

The live stream will subsequently be available on the the Institute’s of the Institute.
