August at INOC: Initiatives on Lung Cancer
During the month of August, INOC—the Candiolo National Cancer Institute —will host a series of informational and educational events focused on lung cancer.
This neoplasm is not a single disease, but rather encompasses several distinct pathological entities, each with specific biological characteristics and treatment pathways.
At INOC, each patient is cared for through a multidisciplinary approach managed by the GIC (Interdisciplinary Care Group), headed by Dr. Lucia Garetto, and involves specialists from various complementary fields. The treatment plan integrates the expertise of the Medical Oncologyteam, led by Dr. Giovanni Grignani, the Clinical Research and Innovation, led by Dr. Vanesa Gregorc, and from the Division of Thoracic Oncology Surgery, headed by Dr. Andrea Droghetti, with the goal of offering increasingly personalized and innovative treatments.
Throughout the month, in-depth articles will be published on both the Institute’s website and social media channels. Among the articles:
- Perioperative Therapies for Lung Cancer: What They Are and Why They Represent a Breakthrough, by Dr. Chiara Lazzari.
